The District 15 Concerned Parents acknowledge the amount of time and energy invested by both sides during the 2006 negotiation process.  There is nothing easy about the process and we sincerely respect the enormous amount of time and consideration both sides have invested. We are sure that neither side entered into this process lightly. The Board of Education members were particularly challenged in trying to balance the needs of the district, with the needs of the CTC members, with the needs of the parents and ultimately with the needs of the children. We are hopeful that the new approved contract will not result in deficit spending to the detriment of our children and that the district will be able to move towards providing more quality programs and tools for our children. 

It is our continuing desire as stakeholders to educate and inform our members on the new contract specifics.  As true advocates for our children and their quality education, it is important that we move forward with knowledge and that we continue to advocate for district fiscal responsibility.
